When I was in Halifax last fall for Rendez-Vous Folk, I stayed with two friends of mine, one of whom is a naturopath.
She gave me some medicine to keep my adrenal glands intact while I adjust my lifestyle.
On one side, the label says, in English and French, “Glycerine Macerate,” which is intriguing. It makes it sound like you need to chew it, which isn’t true. It’s liquid. You take it with a wee medicine spoon.
The other side looks like this:
It tastes more or less like whiskey. I take it twice a day. So far, so good.
