The band and I had a great time presenting material excerpted from The Northwest Passage in Story and Song for the festival crowd at Summerfolk in Owen Sound.
Summerfolk has been good to me for more than a decade now, and the Owen Sound community has been really supportive of the show. We kicked off our tour at Heartwood Hall this past spring to a great response, and we’ve been building on our success ever since.
It was really a thrill to see the energy and excitement for the show, and to work with the very palpable emotion of the crowd.
The standing ovation at the end was very moving for all of us, and underlines what we had suspected all along: Canadians are passionate about the North, and hungry to learn more about what shapes us all.
