Art Gallery of Northumberland Spotlight Series artist Jennifer Trefiak is probably more used doing the work, than talking about it.
A painter of water, sky and land in a mode she calls “intuitive landscapes”, Jennifer is also an artist mindful of the purpose behind the process.
But the Spotlight series provides a chance for reflection, and Jennifer embraced it. We spoke about the challenges and the opportunities presented by the pandemic, and about the power of her connections to Alderville First Nation. It was a conversation as wide-ranging as it was heart-warming!
